American Fence Company Supports the Military
American Fence Company has tremendous respect for all service members, past and present. Our founder, J.P. Van Denburgh Jr., and his father both had a rich history of service to our country.
J.P. Van Denburgh Sr. served in the United States Navy during World War One. Years later, he was honored with the Selective Service Medal for his work on the United States Draft Board by President Harry S. Truman in 1952, and was recognized by the Congress of the United States in the same year.
J.P. Van Denburgh Jr. was an active infantryman in the United States Army during the invasion of Normandy in World War Two. He was captured shortly after D Day and spent time as a prisoner of war before being liberated in 1945. Mr. Van Denburgh started American Fence Company in Phoenix, Arizona in 1948.
More recently, in 2016 American Fence Company was honored by the Department of Defense with the Patriotic Employer Award for our work with National Guard Reserve members on construction projects.
