Eagle Fence Owner Touts Company’s Support of Veterans
American Fence Company is proud to announce the receipt of the PATRIOTIC EMPLOYER Award in February, given from the Office of the Secretary of Defense – Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR), including a Statement of Support accompanying the Award, personally signed by Secretary of Defense Ash Carter. The Award recognizes American Fence Company for utilizing minority-owned Eagle Fence Company for work in the Four Corners area.
Subcontractor Eagle Fence nominated Phil Reed, Branch Manager and Joe Rixon, Project Manager for American Fence Company in Farmington, New Mexico, for their support of Eagle and its on-going commitment to the National Guard and Reserve. The Patriotic Award reflects the efforts made to support Citizen Warriors through a wide range of measures including flexible schedules, time off prior to and after deployment, caring for families and granting leaves of absence if needed.
Eagle Fence owner Ron Simpson, himself a Marine veteran of Desert Storm (Iraq), is a Native American well suited to conduct the Company’s business in this region, which consists of Arizona, Colorado, Utah and New Mexico. Simpson, a Staff Sargent and Squad Leader of the 116th Transportation Company of the National Guard, prefers to hire vets because of their skills, discipline, dependability and commitment to our nations security – hallmarks of the American Fence Company, now in it’s 68th year of operation.
